This is Abbi (my God daughter) and Miriam (neighbour and master behind the pizza’s… ) Out during the snow the other week

These two shots were taken on Sunday, at my neighbours (Miriam) place.
Miriam is a chef and cooks some wonderful stuff. She also runs a business, Olvi Oils with her father where they make a selection of sauces and bits, some details can be found on this blog post.

I took this shot last week, but perhaps it is more fitting with the current thaw we are having.

I recently added the following image to the Strobist group on flickr, and in my haste, forgot to add the actual lighting info (other than the link I added to previous post.
So to get the lighting in this image:
I used the following setup (lighting diagram from The Lighting Diagram Creator site:
The flash behind me was set to full power, and the one with the snoot pointing towards me was also on full power.
Both flashes were triggered with a cheap and cheerful remote wireless trigger purchased on ebay.
So I hope that helps a little more.

Just outside the door – sometimes you don’t have to go far to get a nice shot!

Happy New Year to all.
For the New year, lets try and do more, and not expect things to be done for us. For me this song by Ben Harper says it all.
Ben Harper – With my own two hands
Make it a Good New Year
