Another shot from the sunrise session I had a couple of weeks ago now. The stillness of the lake worked in my favour again, this lake is truly amazing in how it can look so different within a few minutes of each other.

As I was driving down to Clifden (although I did not know I was going to Clifden at the time), I passed a little pier with this stunning old ship docked at it.
After a quick check in the mirrors and some heavy breaking, I pulled into the pier.
Because of the strong light coming in from the soon to be setting sun, I had to light the side of the ship with a flash on a wireless trigger, placed in front of the cabin.
This ship is worthy of another visit, its got shot potential.

Update: I’ve uploaded a Google Earth kml of the site of the ship for those interested in visiting it!

Sunrise #3 – Tourmakeady – Lough Mask by you.
This was also taken in that place called Baunnaun. I was fortunate that a plane had come by recently to add a nice diagonal in thy sky. I love that place!

On Saturday I went for a drive, hoping to find a nice spot for a sunset. I was in Tourmakeady, and just headed towards Leenane. I got there, and moved on as it was still too bright and hazy in that glorious sunshine.
I eventually ended up in Clifden, where I had the choice between the beach road and the sky road, I chose the beach road, and I think it was the right choice!

As mentioned the other day, there are a number of shots from that mornings sunrise. The stillness on the lake was amazing, so the reflections were really nice.
The place where this shot was taken is called Bannaun, a really lovely place.

One of a series of shots I took yesterday morning. The colour and the general atmosphere that morning were stunning. Glad I dragged myself out of bed for it.

Although this shot was taken at the Wicklow Gaol outing, the shot was taken when waiting for final decisions to be made about that particular session.
Rachel was standing close to one of the lights, and I liked the way the light caught the sideline of her face.
