through lastfm (again) I found some rather excellent music.
it is Malian Contemporary Music, and the track I heard “Kele Mandi” blew me away, so I’m going to have to get that album!

apart from the alarming and odd sounding title - work with me…
its been a particurly long week - with another one ominously ahead. in finishing the last of it, I listened to some lastfm neighbours streams, through amarok (and
yes - gnome users can use too…), which in its latest version, includes the ability of listening to a miriad of streams from lastfm.com.
when I was listening away, I heard a tune that caught my ear. looked at the playist and saw who it was ‘Pretty Girls Make Graves‘. clicked on the album cover sleeve in amarok, and hey presto, link to amazons entry.
their site also has a mov stream of the entire album, strongly recommend you give them a listen.
making the start of a good week!
